Dorota A. Kowal obtained the Licentiate in Acupuncture qualification from the School of Five Element Acupuncture (SOFEA) in London in 2005. SOFEA was accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB). She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.

She qualified in the teachings of prof. J.R. Worsley who, after the lifelong research, consolidated elements of classical Chinese acupuncture, the Korean and the Japanese acupuncture, giving it the name: Five Element Acupuncture. Dorota A. Kowal continues her professional development in the practice of acupuncture following regular courses with various teachers and masters, amongst them recently with the master Jeffrey Yuen.

Occasionally she holds seminars on subjects related to the five element acupuncture.

In addition, she has specialised in estetic acupuncture and massage for facial rejuvenation.

In reply to demands of her more sensitive patients, she has developed a method of practicing five element acupuncture without needles, utilising a Light Beam Pen of Aura-SomaŽ system.

Throughout the years, she has studied and consolidated elements of tui na massage, classical massage, ayurvedic massage and riflessology. The massage techniques are also incorporated in the acupuncture sessions contributing to the effectiveness of the overall treatment.
